Marketing Analyst Coordinator (Europe), Switzerland

Job Description:

Reporting to the Marketing Analyst (Europe), the Marketing Analyst Coordinator (Europe) will be primarily responsible for coordinating demand and supply planning activities for promotional requests for Europe markets and will also:

  • Develop and analyse promotional forecasts for our client's markets in Europe.
  • Support Europe Demand Planning Manager with various sales and forecast analysis.
  • Work with Product Marketing department to develop initial product forecasts.
  • Work with Europe Demand Planning Manager to conduct survey and presale activities 

 OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will include the following:

 

        Communicate challenges with special product requests due to supply issues, delivery schedules, quality concerns, inventory levels, and forecasting discrepancies

 

        Coordinate with the Materials Group to ensure that all promotional items are entered into the system for proper planning and ordering.

 

        On a daily or weekly basis, review sales for individual country specials vs. forecast to identify variances.  Communicate necessary forecast revisions to material planning in a timely fashion.

       

        On a monthly basis examines sales data, trends and patterns to recommend forecast changes for assigned products and regions.  Use various statistical methods and forecasting techniques to determine whether forecast changes are required.  Reconcile actuals to forecast for the previous month or over a longer period.

           

        Perform analysis on various topics such as: Sales patterns and growth trends; Seasonality; Price point analysis, Forecast model evaluation and other topics as assigned.

 

        Maintain the PACE forecasting database to insure that forecasts and related data are up to date.

 

        Maintain ad hoc databases such as Access, Lansa, etc. as required.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, qualifications

and competencies:

 

.  Bachelor's degree in business management & 2-4 years experience in a demand planning or related field or the equivalent combinatin of training and relevant business experience

Demonstrable skill in using Excel, Access, and other database query tools

Able to communicate clearly - foreign language skills desirable but not essential

.  Strong maths skills and knowledge of statistics

Ability to analyse, interpret, and organise data for management review.

APICS, or equivalent certification is desirable
